This patient had a less than optimal result from LASIK. Struggling to see 20/20 and having low light vision problems caused him to be concerned about his future. After being fit with wavefront-guided Laserfit Lenses, he reported the following:
I had made an appointment with my regular eye Doc in the meantime to double check the prescription. I had that appointment about two weeks ago….He gave me a refraction. To say that he was blown away by my improved vision and the fit of the lenses would be a major understatement…..He couldn’t believe it!!! Last I saw him, I was struggling (and guessing) at the 20/20 line while wearing glasses. This time wearing your contacts, I read the 20/10 line with ease with my right eye and I missed only one on the left eye! This was using the “E” chart, which he said was harder. He commented that I read the 20/10 line easier than I had read the 20/20 line before.
He looked at the fit of the lenses using the slit lamp, then abruptly slid his chair back shaking his head saying “I have never seen scleral lenses fit so well, this guy (you) is an artist!”
Maybe it’s the pessimist in me, but I keep waiting to discover something bad about these lenses, but instead, I have been building confidence in them every day. These lenses, and you, have changed my life!!!Thank you for giving me my life back and giving me confidence in my future.
