This is the third time that Kirk has come to see us from the East Coast. With advanced keratoconus, he could not tolerate the glare and ghosting that he got with other traditional lenses. Laserfit eliminated that for him. But, as Kirk likes to say, if he can get 20/20, he will want to try for 20/15, and then for 20/10. Kirk knows that our creative design studio can produce the best fit and the best optics to keep him seeing as well as possible. He will just have to be happy with 20/15 vision in each eye until the next time!

Our patient of the week is from Kodiak, Alaska and plans to join the Marine Corps. Megan wanted the best night vision possible, and we gave her 20/10 vision in both eyes with Laserfit. She rented a mountain bike and rode it here everyday, thoroughly enjoying our temperatures in the "balmy" 50's. Semper Fi.

Carlos is an engineer and university professor who suffered ectasia following LASIK surgery and had bilateral corneal transplants in 2008. He had been wearing scleral lenses from us since 2012. He recently returned for new and improved Laserfit lenses. He wears them all day and sees extremely well. We are always happy to see returning patients like Carlos!

Andre had LASIK in 2008. He developed dry eye and painful recurrent corneal erosions. He had to use special eye drops, wear protective eye wear, and his lifestyle was compromised. Laserfit not only relieved his dryness, but it also improved his vision to better than 20/20 - an unexpected bonus! Andre also received ProKera human amniotic tissue treatment while he was here to improve the health of his corneas. He was doing so well that he purchased a bicycle and rode it to the clinic every day without experiencing any dry eye symptoms.

Lex was never happy with his night vision since having LASIK 12 years ago, and despite 20/20 vision. Because he travels a lot, it was important that he be able to navigate safely and comfortably at night. Laserfit was able to drastically improve his low light vision, and now he can't live without them.

Iris had extreme difficulty seeing with conventional eyeglasses. After years of searching for answers, she had just about given up hope when a friend told her about Dr. G. and Laserfit.
Despite all of her issues, Laserfit lenses restored her vision and she was able to make out 20/20 letters with each eye.

After multiple surgeries, Joe's vision was pretty awful. He barely had passed his driver's test. Laserfit lenses restored his vision and then some with 20/10 in one eye and 20/15 in the other.

Rick had been unhappy with his vision for 12 years since he had LASIK surgery. Laserfit restored his vision to better than 20/20 and better than he could ever remember.

Although he had no prescription, Huss was troubled by double vision and low light glare following LASIK about one year before. Laserfit lenses were able to reduce his higher order aberrations and get rid of the ghosting and glare as well as restoring 20/15 vision.

This was Asim's first visit to the U.S. He had been suffering from dry eyes and vision issues since his LASIK surgery. With Laserfit lenses, Asim got rid of his vision distortions and was restored to better than 20/20 vision.

Ernest was having trouble with reduced vision and night glare following LASIK after RK surgery. Laserfit restored his vision to 20/20 and got rid of his visual higher order aberrations.

Although Matt was already wearing scleral lenses, he was looking for improved vision. Laserfit lenses not only got rid of his visual distortions, but improved his vision to 20/10 in each eye. Dr. G. also found a slight muscle imbalance and was able to incorporate a horizontal prism correction into the Laserfit lenses.

Melanie first came to see Dr. G. when she lived in Quebec almost 10 years ago. She was suffering from ghosting, halos, and headaches following LASIK eye surgery. Now living in Malibu, she returned to see Dr. G. to be fitted with the latest version of Laserfit lenses. The results were quite remarkable, achieving perfect 20/10 vision.

Amanda suffered from severe dry eyes and vision disturbances since her eye surgeries. She was also left with a large prescription imbalance between the two eyes which made it impossible to wear ordinary eyeglasses. Laserfit relieved her dryness and greatly reduced her visual higher order aberrations.

Kristian has severe keratoconus in one eye and mild keratoconus in the other. He is correctable to 20/100 in the worse eye and 20/25 in the better eye with eyeglasses. He was not getting good vision with his current RGP and mini-scleral lenses. He was also working towards his Ph.D. and struggling with the reading. Within a few days Kristian was corrected to 20/25- in his worse eye and 20/20- in his better eye. Moreover, the severe glare and double images were nearly completely gone.

Like many others, Mike had RK surgery in 1993 to "cure" his nearsightedness. Unfortunately it left him extremely farsighted with irregular astigmatism. His large pupils made night driving difficult and he gave up his first career as a result. Laserfit lenses with wavefront-guided optics were able to reduce his higher order aberrations and restore his night vision. Mike also got sharp 20/15 vision out of each eye.

William suffered from severe dry eye and pain as a result of numerous eye surgeries. With worse than 20/300 vision, glasses were of no use. Having tried every conventional dry eye treatment, William was referred to us by his local eye surgeon. Within a few days William was seeing 20/20- out of each eye with Laserfit lenses and was free of the pain of dry eye. The best gift was that William is an avid hunter and wanted to be able to use his right eye again so that he could see through the scope. Now he can!

With aided vision of 20/400 in the right eye, and 20/60 in the left eye, Marytza's advanced keratoconus made life challenging. When she came to see Dr. G. and Laserfit Vision, she was wearing toric soft lenses with poor results. Within a couple of days, Dr. G. had her seeing 20/30 in the right eye and 20/20 in the left eye with Laserfit Lenses. Marytza didn't expect to be seeing so well!

Tao had LASIK in 2013 and suffers from severe dry eye and night vision disturbances. He was also over-corrected. Laserfit lenses greatly relieved his symptoms.

Mahmoud is a pharmacist and is involved in the family business. He has had keratoconus since a young man and wore scleral lenses. He came to see Dr. G. to see if comfort and vision could be improved. Dr. G. was able to improve vision by 2 lines over his previous lenses as well as the comfort

Alex had LASIK in 2007. He then began to suffer symptoms of keratoconus, mainly in the right eye. He had crosslinking done in 2012 and 2014. He tried many types of contact lenses. More recently he was wearing a 16.5 mm mini-scleral for irregular corneas, but was still unhappy with the large amount of glare and ghosting in his vision. Within a few days Alex was fitted with Laserfit lenses with wavefront-guided optics. The result was 20/15 in each eye and all day wearing comfort. Better yet, all of the glare and ghosting were gone.

Brandon had LASIK with complications in 2000. His vision quality has been poor since then, with increasing myopia. With glasses he could see about 20/40. Laserfit lenses restored his vision quality and gave him 20/20 vision.

Luke had advanced keratoconus in both eyes, as well as phakic intra-ocular lenses to reduce his severe myopia. He was wearing a lens only in the right eye. He was unable to tolerate a lens in his left eye. Dr. G. was able to fit Luke successfully in both eyes with Laserfit lenses. His vision was restored to 20/15 in the right eye and 20/40 in the left, with good comfort in both.

Nick want to follow in the family tradition in law enforcement. He thought LASIK would help him, but afterwards felt that he had lost vision quality and experienced from night glare and starbursting. He was concerned that he would fail the entrance requirements, and sought Laserfit lenses to improve his night vision. Nick was extremely fortunate. In addition to eliminating his night vision disturbance, Laserfit lenses also gave him perfect 20/10 vision.

Brendon had LASIK 2 years before. Afterwards he experienced dry eyes and night vision disturbances. His dry eyes interfered with his ability to work on the computer as an engineer. Laserfit lenses eliminated the night vision disturbances and gave him relief from the dry eyes.

A digital marketing specialist, Rajiv had LASIK in 2012 for myopia and astigmatism. Several months later he had an enhancement. But with very large pupils, he suffered from severe low light and night vision disturbance. He had tried numerous lenses in the San Francisco area without satisfactory results, as none could eliminate his astigmatism and glare. Laserfit lenses with wavefront guided optics eliminated the induced astigmatism, and reduced his higher order aberrations by 83% in the right eye and 93% in the left eye. His night vision disturbances were completely resolved and no more glare.

Chris underwent a new refractive procedure called SMILE, or small incision lenticule extraction for myopia. Designed to replace LASIK, the procedure uses a femtosecond laser to create a lens inside the cornea, which is then extracted manually through a small opening to create the desired effect. Chris has large pupils and found it difficult to drive or see at night immediately after the procedure. LASERFIT LENSES gave Chris his night vision back and he went back to China very happy.

After RK surgery many years ago, Chad suffered worsening vision and difficulty seeing at night because of severe glare. After being fitted with LASERFIT LENSES, Chad was able to see lights at night without large halos for the first time in a long time. He writes: "I drove home from Dallas today and wore the lenses for about 7 hours. I can't tell you how clear my vision was. It is absolutely amazing. Layne suffered a penetrating eye injury as a child that left a small scar in the center of his vision. In 2004 he underwent an astigmatic keratotomy in that eye to correct the astigmatism. In recent years his vision has changed and he sees annoying glare and other artifacts at night. LASERFIT LENSES eliminated the night vision problems and corrected his vision to 20/15.

An intelligent and active young woman, Sharon was pursuing a masters degree in accounting. For unknown reasons she developed severe dry eye that was interfering with her work and quality of life. After being fitted with Laserfit Lenses, she is now happily and successfully pursuing her career with a major accounting firm.

Busy executive, husband, and father, Shane underwent RK surgery many years ago and suffered from night time vision disturbances, loss of best corrected acuity, and dry eye. Kevin is a Certified Financial Analyst, married, and has 2 adorable children. After undergoing LASIK about 10 months ago, he now suffers from severe dry eye. Laura is a busy professional and a lover and care giver to animals. She had LASIK in 2005 and promptly developed "horrible" night glare, starbursts, halos, and dim light vision loss. She first came to see us in 2007, and several times since. Each time she was upgraded to the latest advancements, and benefitted each time. On her last visit in 2011, we upgraded her to Laserfit lenses with wavefront-guided optics, which resulted in 20/15 vision in each eye. More significantly, the vision in the worse left eye was now as good as the vision in her better eye.

This is Susana from Spain. I first met her in Spain in 2003 after she and another patient contacted me about their situations. Susana had been a piano teacher, but after multiple LASIK procedures she was unable to drive or work. I brought some lenses with me to Spain and a local hospital in Oviedo provided me with the use of their ophthalmology facilities. She has since been back to see me on several occasions.

Evren had bilateral LASIK with badly decentered treatments. He also has very large pupils. Desperate, Evren traveled all the way to Texas from Istanbul. He now enjoys normal vision and can wear the lenses all day long.

Joseph is a Texas local and is lucky to be alive. About 8 or 9 years ago he came down with a rare case of TENS - or Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis, a severe form of SJS or Stevens Johnson Syndrome. It is a reaction to a chemical or substance, usually sulfonamides, that causes sores on the skin and mucus membranes, then sloughing similar to third degree burns.

Joseph survived this often fatal condition, but with scarring of the conjunctiva and sores on and around the eyelids leaving him with severe dry eye. After undergoing reconstructive surgeries, he still suffered as a result of the scar tissue. One of the challenges was that the worst eye was unable to open widely enough for a large lens. We fit him with a normal size mini-scleral on his better eye first. After he got the hang of that, we scanned and fit his right eye with a smaller lens, which he was able to wear without any trouble. He now has his life back.

We first saw Gabriel when he traveled to see us for relief of complications from PRK and large pupils. At that time we fit him with a smaller set of intralimbal lenses. Now 11 years later and still wearing the same lenses, he wanted an upgrade. With Laserfit lenses, both vision and comfort were improved.

A recent engineering graduate, Kedar was also studying to get his pilot's license. After LASIK, his large pupils and dry eyes made him uncomfortable navigating at night and in low light conditions. He was afraid that he would never get his pilot's license. After traveling to Texas with his mother, Kedar was fitted with Laserfit Lenses. He successfully passed his exams and physical, and is now a licensed pilot.

Kelley loves the outdoors. She walks pets for a living. One day she fell and suffered serious facial fractures which damaged her eyelid and left her with severe dry eye. Multiple plastic surgeries have helped, but she still had to apply ointments, moisture shields, and tape in order to keep the air away from her eyes. With her Laserfit Lens, she no longer has to go through that ritual during the day. She said that if her experience with Laserfit lenses had not been successful, she was going to have her eye sewn shut. Fortunately that will not be necessary.

Martin is an environmental scientist in Denmark. Bilateral PRK over large pupils left Martin with thin corneas, severe dry eye, and low-light vision problems. In desperation, he traveled to Texas for Laserfit Lenses, which have provided him with great relief.
